Eco-score

At Ecolinq, we believe it’s important that you know what you’re buying and what impact it has. That’s why we’ve introduced our ‘eco-score’. We calculate this score based on a number of criteria. You’ll find an explanation below. Would you like to read more about this? Then take a look at our information page

Total score 8/12
Production impact 1/2
Average impact
The production of this material requires an average amount of energy, water and/or chemicals. Its environmental impact is therefore neither low nor particularly high. This results in a score of 1 point.
Material origin 2/2
bio-based material made from renewable biological resources
This product receives 2 points because it is made from renewable biological resources such as wood, plant fibres, agricultural crops or other renewable biological resources. These resources can regrow and therefore provide an alternative to fossil-based raw materials.
End-of-life route 2/2
Suitable for high-quality recycling, allowing for a closed-loop system
This material is highly recyclable and can be processed into new material of comparable quality. It can therefore be used again for the same or a similar application, keeping the material in circulation. This results in a score of 2 points.
Reuse 0/2
Single-use
This product is designed for a single use and is typically thrown away after use. As it is not intended to be reused, it does not reduce the need for new packaging through repeated use. This results in a score of 0 points.
Material structure 2/2
Mono-material
This product is made from a single type of material, making it easier to sort and recycle after use. This results in a score of 2 points.
Chemical impact 1/1
Free from harmful inks, additives and similar substances
This product does not contain harmful inks, additives or other substances that place an unnecessary burden on people or the environment. This results in a score of 1 point.
Logistics 0/1
Produced outside the EU
This product is manufactured outside the European Union and therefore generally travels a greater distance before reaching our Dutch warehouse. Due to this additional logistics impact, 0 points are awarded.
