If you buy bioplastic side gusset bags, you reduce the impact on the environment. We are happy to explain why this is the case. EcolinQ's side gusset bags are made of bioplastic, namely PLA. PLA stands for Polylactic Acid. This is a type of plastic made from 100% vegetable material, such as corn and sugar beet. Bioplastic is created by fermenting starch from these plants and is the ultimate substitute for normal plastic because normal plastic still requires foetal fuels to produce it.

So it is 100% plastic free and therefore environmentally friendly. Please note that there is a comment. The material is compostable, but only industrially compostable. This means that a special machine is required to convert the bags into vegetable material. These machines should normally be at the waste disposal site.

What exactly are side gusset bags? Side gusset bags do not have a bottom, but they do have an extra side fold. And side fold over the entire bag, from top to bottom.
